It’s sobering to think that in the end Sanger’s philosophy may kill (or already has killed) more people than Hitler….
You’re hitting on some key thoughts I’ve been pondering in these fallout years post-Covid. I’m realizing more and more that if something leads to isolation or outright destruction than it isn’t from God. I know most of us had good intentions at the beginning of Covid to protect the vulnerable, but the extreme isolation that resulted should have been more of a red flag that we were helping destroy more than save.
What are the reasons that it took many genuine followers of Christ five years to start seeing the manipulative clues of Covid system? How much do we learn from history to react appropriately next time? How much are we able to discern quick and reject heresy? And even if we see it, why do we hesitate to follow through. How much perhaps fear of being rejected or misunderstood pushes Christians from defending the faith and proclaiming His truth, goodness, wisdom, beauty? I am still learning believers reactions during Covid period of times.
A lot of people saw it but not enough. This is probably due to the widespread trust of mainstream media. Thankfully, this trust has crumbled in recent years. I think Covid was a wake-up call.
One of my favorite figures in American history is Booker T Washington. What he feared the most was that his people were going to be seduced by charismatic black Ivy League intellectuals platforming someone as deceitful as Margaret Sanger. His nightmare ultimately came true, controversial to say in this supercharge age
“ Notable church leaders championed slogans like “Love your neighbor, get the jab” despite limited evidence supporting vaccine safety.”
What would you consider to be sufficient evidence for supporting vaccine safety? My understanding was that there were large clinical trials that determined them safe.
I’m with you that we were definitely misled and coerced into extreme measures for Covid, but declaring that there was “limited evidence supporting vaccine safety” seems false.
Thanks for your comment. Trials were done, although many reports are coming out now of findings that were suppressed.
However, even the trials that were done were not nearly as extensive as what is normally done for new vaccines. For example, new vaccines are tested for many years before being released (I think I've heard that it's usually 8 years?), and at the very least, the Covid vaccines were very rushed. The book I referenced in the article, Shepherds for Sale, offers extensive research and sources cited if you would like to explore this more.
Wow. Powerful and courageous.
Thanks!

Still pondering this one.
Yes, good intentions to start with, for sure! And yes, I absolutely agree!
